Vastu Tips for Staircase Placement in the house

The ancient text of construction has a lot to advice about the placement of stairs in your house for a peaceful living. Vastu suggests that the staircase should always be in the negative zones like SouthWest, South or West part of the house. A house with staircase built in the NorthEast corner is more susceptible to chronic diseases. Also, staircase should not be in center of the house.

Here are a few such vastu tips for staircase placement in the house.

The staircases should always turn clockwise in direction when turning into the next flight.

Circular or spiral staircase should be avoided and there should be odd number of risers in a staircase such as 15, 17, 19 etc.

Staircase should be in the southeast in east, northwest in north, southwest in west or southwest in south of the house.

Southern or western part of the house for staircase is highly recommended as these directions are heavy.

Paint staircase in light colors. Always avoid red and black color for the same as it attracts negative energy.

Repair broken stairs immediately otherwise it may cause accidents or mental tension due to clashes.

Do not build any room such as kitchen, bathroom and Pooja room under staircase. Keep such room only for storage.
