Any garden adds sensory stimulation visually through colour and form or through texture. It serves as one of the great ways to relax and restore inner peace. The practicing of Vastu Shastra in modern urban houses has been a common site to behold these days.

Here are a few simple vastu suggestions for planting various plants in your garden.

Coconut and Banana plants induce mental peace and health and should be planted without the boundary of the house.

Basil plant should be planted within the limits of a house. Bilva, Madhuka and Peepal are very favourable on the West of the house boundary.

Climbers within the house limits should be grown vertically, climbing or horizontally trailing.

There should be not large plants at the exact center.     

Fountains should not be built in the centre as it may cause havoc to mental peace and health of the inhabitants.

Thorny plants must not be grown within the house limits. They bring tensions and create fractious relationships.

Bamboo plants should not be grown within the house as it increases enmity.

Huge, heavy statues should be places towards the South-West, South or the West of the garden area.
