Vastu Tips for designing the perfect Balcony

Balcony in the house is a platform that projects from the wall of the building. It is not just an extra space as verandah and roof play a major role in balancing the overall energy of the house. According to vastu, having a wrongly built balcony can negate all the good work done for the other rooms.

Here are a few Vastu Tips for designing the perfect Balcony.

The ideal position for a balcony is the eastern or northern part of the house where there is constant sunlight from morning to evening. Avoid construction in the southern or western side of the main building.

Heavy furniture should be placed in the south-western, southern or western corner of the balcony. Swing can be placed in the east-west axis.

Small plants should be placed in the north-east side of the balcony. However flower pots with creepers should also be avoided.

The height of the balcony roof should be lower than the roof of the main building.

Asbestos or tin should not be used for the roof of a balcony as it traps unnecessary heat.

The balcony should be either square or rectangle in shape. Wide openings towards east are more advantageous.
