Marriage halls are the latest concept where ceremonies are concluded within 2-3 days involving all the possible rituals. The reason behind this is that marriage today is being taken as an event and near relatives do not have much time to devote for a marriage. Previously married daughters were supposed to come to their parents 2 months before the date of marriage. Now a days no one is in a position to afford such a luxury time.
Marriage halls are the best concepts from the view point of all the arrangements under a single roof. It means that now no temporary commercial, electricity, water connections, fuel connections are required and marriage halls manage these all within your package deal. Now almost everyone have their own furniture, seating arrangement, kitchen, flowering and interior decoration arrangements.
Inspite of these results from these marriage halls vary from place to place. The facts which make marriage arrangements successful or a failure are food quality, number of diets (sudden increase or fall), rainfall or storm, parking place, obedience of local laws, sanitary arrangements, pollution, pure water and an ethnic atmosphere. - Seating arrangements for the couple should be in the West.
- Kitchen should be in the South East extending towards South centre.
- The bhatti for the roti and puri should be between South East to East.
- North West could be suggested for soft and hard drinks alongwith 6-7 snacks.
- North East is important for cool items like ice-cream, mouth fresheners (Pan etc.), water and fruit salad.
- There must be sufficient parking outside the marriage hall.
- In the central point of the marriage hall there should be an open lawn for free movements of the guests as well as chair-table sets.
- There must be an alternate provision to meet out the exigencies like rainfall or storms.
- Married couple gets the best welcome if they are sitting in cardinal West direction. This also reduces the chances of demanding dowry.
