Water fountain is highly ornamental and pleasing to the eyes. And who would not respond to the music of water pouring and gushing constantly into your garden or living room?

They are available in all shapes, sizes, and materials. They can be as fountains, tabletop, free-standing or wall-mounted.

Fountains in feng bring the energy of the water and represent an ancient symbol of wealth and prosperity. The water is believed to diffuse healthy negative ions into the air. Flowing water symbolizes income be it in the form of a regular pay check and a regular monthly income.

The accumulated water signifies wealth and pile up of assets like company, property or business. According to feng shui a swimming pool, a fishpond or any accumulated water source should be at least 18 inches deep.

The water fountain should be only placed at the south east, south west or north quadrant of the house. Do not place it in your bedroom, bathroom or kitchen. Living room is fine.

Also do not place the fountain under the stairs as it can create illness in the family. You can place the water fountain at the front door.

If possible, place a dragon near your water fountain or water feature. The symbolism of a thirsty dragon getting water is very powerful. It symbolizes good luck and wealth into your house.

Make sure the fountain does not look oriental if intended to be used as feng shui cure.
