How to take care of turtle in Vastu Shastra

Tortoise is synonymous to long life and longevity in vastu shastra. According to the Puranas, Lord Vishnu took the form of tortoise or Kurma avatar to uphold the earth during the Sagar Manthan.

Tortoise is believed to bring prosperity. Tortoise made of Resins, Metal, glass, Mud, crystals or wood should be placed in the home and office. Here are a few vastu approved tips on placing a turtle in your surroundings.                           

Metal tortoise should be placed in North and North West direction of the house. Tortoise made of resin or mud should be placed in the North East, Centre or in the South West portion of the house.

Tortoise made of resin crystals should be placed in the South West or North West. Wooden tortoise should be placed either in East or in South East.

The tortoise should always face east. Placing it in the living room bring peace and harmony in the household.

The tortoise should be kept only in water. You may also add some colored stones to it. It brings serenity, harmony, peace, long life, and wealth.
